Flotation Assembly

In most applications, the 7.5 - 25Hp aerators are mounted on a three-pontoon (tri-pontoon) flotation assembly. Tri-pontoon flotation is available with either galvanized or stainless steel cross rails and hardware. Use the following as a checklist during assembly :

1. Select a level area to work on. Bolt the cross rails to the mainframe with a 3/8" x 1 1/4" bolt. (Fig. 12)

Note: Use an eyebolt in each front bolt hole where the mainframe connects to the front cross rails. Position the eye under the cross rails. These eys bolts are for attaching the vortex shield.

2. Attach the rear cross members to the back ends of the mainframes. (Fig 13)

3. Center the pontoon under the cross rails and rear cross members.

4. Fastern the cross rails and rear cross members to the pontoon mounting bars with U-bolts. (Fig. 14)

5. Attach the mounting bracket.

Note: Galvanized Flotation-Attach the mounting brackets to the mainframe.

Note: Stainless Steel Flotation-Bolt the bracket supports the mainframe. Then bolt the mounting brackets to the bracket supports. Place spacer washers between the bracket supports and the mounting brackets on the bottom two bolts. (Fig 15)
