Aerator Assembly
Assembly begins with the motor in the shaft up position. The side of the motor with the electrical box is considered to top.
1. Attach the mounting flange to the motor with the four 1/2" x 1 1/4" bolts in the mounting flange. Looking down on the motor, the pins on the mounting flange should be in the 9 and 3 o'clock position (Fig. 4)

2. Insert the motor shaft key and apply an anti-seize compound to the motor shaft and key.
3. Slip the aerator shaft all the way onto the motor shaft. It may have to be tapped on with a rubber hammer. (Fig. 5)
4. Apply an anti-seize compound to the set screw. Tighten the set screw over the key first to ensure proper balance.
5. Slide a nylon washer onto the aerator shaft. (Fig. 6)
See the service and maintenance section to determine if the floral bearing needs replacement. If the bearing does not need to be replaced, omit steps 6 & 7.
