Too much moisture content for sludge cake (caused by big flocs)
① Wastewater concentration gets lower?
When the concentration gets lower, the ratio balance between dry solid and its required chemical dosing quantity breaks. In this situation, increase the sludge feeding quantity.
② High polymer flocculant concentration changes?
Once high polymer flocculant concentration changes, the ratio balance between dry solid and its required chemical dosing quantity breaks. Then the dry solids in wastewater can not form proper flocs.
If use manual dosing equipment, please confirm the dosing quantity of polyacrylamide and dilution water. If use auto dosing equipment, please confirm the setting values and actual dosing quantity are consistent. If dosing too much polyacrylamide, following problems will be occured.
When forming proper flocs, please check following problems improved or not.
・Is there any high viscosity sludge piled up around horizontal flow pipe?
・Is there any high viscosity sludge piled up in the gap of rings?
・Is the filter function is good or not?
・Is the filtrate sticky or not?
・Does motor load get higher if the moisture content of sludge cake gets lower?
③ Is there any foreign matter attached around weir in measuring tank?
If foreign matter attaches around weir, it means less sludge flows into flocculation tank and the ratio balance between dry solid and its required chemical dosing quantity breaks. Flocs may get bigger. In this situation, please clean the weir.
※ If problems still can not be solved after adopting above 3 steps, please select new polyacrylamide.
