INTRODUCTION
**WORKING PRINCIPLE
The filter cylinder is composed of fixed rings, moving rings and screw shaft. Each moving ring is located between the fixed rings. The Moving ring's diameter is slightly smaller than outer diameter of the screw. And its thickness is a little narrower than the space between fixed rings. As helical blades spin, moving rings move up and down cleaning sludge out of space between fixed rings continuously and keep equipment working well from clogging. The space between moving ring and fixed ring gets smaller and smaller from the thickening zone to the dewatering zone. After the gravity thickening process in thickening zone, the sludge is pushed to dewatering zone. Under the pressure from back- pressure plate, liquid is squeezed out.
**Standard Process Diagram
1. Sludge is transferred to inlet by a sludge pump.
2. Before sludge moves into flocculation tank, its flow rate will be adjusted by liquid level controller in measuring tank.
And it will be mixed with flocculants by mixing motor.
3. After mixing process, dry solid in wastewater will become big flocs with the help of flocculants. Then flocs flow into filter cartridge.
4. Big flocks concentrate by gravity in thickening zone. At the same time it moves to dewatering zone with the pressure from screw shaft.
5. As the space between moving rings and fixed rings gets smaller and smaller in dewatering zone. And under the pressure from back-pressure plate, liquid will be squeezed.
