CLEANING PROCESS & OPERATION for (CAF-900 Series Electric Self-Cleaning Screen Filter) supply in Selangor Area

D. CLEANING PROCESS
GENERAL
A flush cycle is one scan of the dirt collector on the screen while the motor move from IN
position to OUT position (or vice versa).
NON-DP FLUSH is activated in three conditions:
1. Pressing [MANUAL FLUSH] switch.
2. Signal received at REMOTE inlet.
3. INTERVAL Timer (Internal) - If set. in this conditions the CLEANING mechanism
activates the motor for one scan while SV1 is at ON state (First/one CLEANING valve open).

DP FLUSH a DP flush is caused by a differential pressure across the filter/s system. signal at
DP inlet for 5 seconds (Fixed internal setting) will activate the DP FLUSH mechanism. In
this condition, absence of DP signal for 5 seconds (Fixed internal setting) deactivates the DP
FLUSH Mechanism. This internal ON/OFF delay timers assure that accidental DP switch
vibrating will not activate the CLEANING mechanism.

Once a DP flush is registered, the CLEANING mechanism will execute a REGULAR
CLEANING procedure by activating the motor and SV1 solenoid, while checking constantly
the DP inlet. If DP signal is removed then the CLEANING mechanism will complete it's scan
and close the motor and SV1 operation.

If DP signal continues for 5 flush cycles (scans) the CLEANING mechanism will execute
EMERGENCY FLUSH procedure by activating SV2, in addition to SV1 (Both CLEANING
valves opened) for 5 more flush cycles (scans).

If DP signal is removed during EMERGENCY FLUSH then the CLEANING mechanism will
complete it's last scan and close the motor and SV1/SV2 operation.

If DP signal continues in spite of 10 flush cycles (scans), which means that the CLEANING
mechanism is unable to overcome the differential pressure across the filter/s system, then
FAULT state is declared (FAULT Indicator lit) and any further flushes are inhibited.

Pressing [RESET] switch will reset the CLEANING mechanism and enable CLEANING.

SV3 OPERATION
GENERAL – SV3 serve two purposes according to S4 position.
When S4 is set to [S] position – SV3 will be activated with SV2.
In this case SV3 can be used to close a slope valve, which increases the dirt collector sucking
ability therefore less time/scans required for successful CLEANING.
When S4 is set to [F] position – SV3 will be activated on FAULT State. In this case SV3 can be
used to open a NC bypass valve.
